Ferrari's Felipe Massa set the fastest time of the third and final practice for tomorrow's Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.

Early on it was the Red Bulls of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber who set the pace on the harder tyres, before Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen eclipsed them both with a lap 0.8 seconds quicker.

The Finn was soon joined by teammate Romain Grojsean at the top but then Fernando Alonso of Ferrari delighted the home fans by going first by 0.036 seconds.

Alonso then put on a set of the medium compound tyres and improved his time by 0.8 seconds. The Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg slotted in behind Alonso before a flurry of times at the end saw the leaderboard rapidly change.

Webber slotted in behind Raikkonen before Massa shot to the top with a lap six-thousandths of a second quicker than Raikkonen's.

Vettel couldn't match the pace of teammate Webber and was then nudged further down the timesheet by Grosjean.
