Red Bull driver Max Verstappen tops the standings in the first practice session ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen has recorded the fastest time in the first practice session ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Red Bull driver finished ahead of teammate Daniel Ricciardo, while Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Mercedes's Lewis Hamilton were third and fourth respectively.

However, Nico Rosberg could only finish in fifth place after a crash but Mercedes have said that the car will be repaired in time for Friday's second practice session.

Kimi Raikkonen was sixth in the Ferrari while McLaren pair Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button finished in 11th and 16th place respectively.
