Outgoing Sebastian Vettel to replace Fernando Alonso at Ferrari?

Sebastian Vettel will replace Fernando Alonso at Ferrari, with the Spaniard eyeing a move to McLaren, according to reports.

Fernando Alonso will leave Ferrari at the end of the season and be replaced with four-time champion Sebastian Vettel, reports suggest.

Alonso still has two years remaining on his current contract, but the driver and Ferrari have agreed to go their separate ways, according to BBC Sport. The Spaniard is expected to join McLaren-Honda for the 2015 season.

Red Bull released a statement this morning announcing Vettel's departure, and team principal Christian Horner said that Ferrari had made Vettel "a very attractive offer".

Alonso's decision to leave Ferrari has reportedly come about because he believes that McLaren and new engine partner Honda will offer the double world champion a title-winning car.
