Daniel Ricciardo: 'I won't underestimate Daniil Kvyat'

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo insists that he will 'not underestimate' new teammate Daniil Kvyat.

Daniel Ricciardo has insisted that he will not take new teammate Daniil Kvyat lightly, nor will he change his approach after the Russian driver was promoted to a Red Bull race seat for next season.

Twenty-year-old Kvyat will take the place of Sebastian Vettel after the four-time World Champion completed his move to Ferrari, and Ricciardo is wary of the challenge that the former Toro Rosso star poses.

"I shouldn't let that change anything I do behind the wheel or with the engineers," Ricciardo told Autosport.

"It's been such a good year and the results have shown for it, so if I ever find myself trying to get too much out of it and impress Daniil Kvyat too much then I will step back and try and take this year's approach because it has worked.

"I'm not going to take Daniil lightly."

The 2015 Formula One season begins with the Australian Grand Prix on March 15.
