Daniel Ricciardo wins Hungarian Grand Prix

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo wins the Hungarian Grand Prix after overtaking both Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton late on to snatch the victory.

Daniel Ricciardo has won the Hungarian Grand Prix after making a late dash in the last remaining laps to overtake Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.

After an emphatic drive from Hamilton, who started from the pit lane and finished third, it was Ricciardo who stole the headlines to win his second Grand Prix this season.

With the race claiming six retirements on a wet track, it was the Australian who took all 25 points, with Hamilton claiming 15 which take him to within 11 points of Mercedes teammate and championship leader Nico Rosberg, who finished in fourth.

The grand prix saw two safety cars after some heavy crashes in the 70-lap race.
