Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel says that his victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix was faultless and seamless.

Sebastian Vettel has thanked the Red Bull team for a "faultless and seamless race" at the Bahrain Grand Prix earlier today.

The reigning world champion took the lead on lap three and rarely came under pressure as he secured his second win of the 2013 Formula 1 season.

Speaking on the podium after the race, the German said: "A fantastic race. Big, big thank you to the team today. A faultless and seamless race from start to finish.

"The pace was phenomenal, the car was very quick, it just seemed to get better and better towards the end. A really beautiful race where you could really push every single lap and we took care of the cars. So overall [I'm] very happy.

"The pace we had today we surely did not expect that. In the end it was quite controlled and we managed the gaps and we still had enough tyres to push towards the end."

Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean completed the podium.
