Toto Wolff: 'Nico Rosberg won't let head drop'

Toto Wolff says that Nico Rosberg will not let his head drop despite Lewis Hamilton's dominant run of form.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff believes that Nico Rosberg will remain focused despite Lewis Hamilton's dominant run.

Rosberg, who won the season-opening Grand Prix in Australia, has been forced to take a back seat to Hamilton after the Englishman won three successive races for the first time in his career.

However, when asked if he felt that the German's head would drop, Wolff is quoted by BT Sport as saying: "No, not at all. He is very focused.

"Following the race in China, when things did not go well for him all weekend, the thing he said afterwards was that [his second-place finish] was damage limitation.

"You have to remember a championship isn't won in one race, or two or three, it is won over 19 races. I guess they will continue to fight hard for the championship, so there is a strong possibility we will see more races like in Bahrain where they went wheel to wheel."

The start of the European season gets underway this weekend in Spain.
