Reports claim that former McLaren Technical Director Paddy Lowe agrees to join Mercedes from the beginning of the 2014 season.
Former McLaren Technical Director Paddy Lowe has reportedly agreed to join Mercedes from the start of the 2014 season.
On Monday, Tim Goss was announced as a successor to Lowe, who was approached by the Silver Arrows with a view to a senior role last month.
"Lowe will continue to be employed by McLaren through 2013, in accordance with his contract," claims The Guardian.
"He is not expected to be seen around the team and will take what is commonly referred to as 'gardening leave.' The last thing McLaren want is Lowe taking their secrets to Mercedes."
Lowe first joined McLaren in 1993 and was appointed Technical Director in January 2011.
