Lewis Hamilton believes he can still win World Championship

Hamilton retains Championship aspirations

Lewis Hamilton has insisted that he can still win the Formula 1 World Championship, despite McLaren's poor form in recent races.

Hamilton is 37 points behind Fernando Alonso, but with the season only just reaching its halfway point, the 27-year-old remains confident of winning his second world title.

"I definitely feel I can still do it. We should have won many more races than we have, but we are only at the tenth Grand Prix," he said.

"We still have so far to go, and if we keep pushing, hopefully we will be rewarded."

McLaren head into this weekend's German Grand Prix for their first race since producing several updates for their car.
