Lewis Hamilton has hinted that he may be ready to sign a new deal with McLaren.
The 27-year-old is in the last year of his contract with the British team and has been subsequently linked with a move to a rival F1 team.
Hamilton admitted that he has thought of a move but that a stay at McLaren should be "fairly simple" to agree.
He told the London Evening Standard: "Who knows what's going to happen in the future? I'm in no rush. I've got a contract for the rest of the year and I have a job. At some stage my management will have to sit down and start planning.
"I'm very happy where I am so I think it may be fairly simple."
The 2008 world champion has looked in ominous form this week, finishing fastestin the two practice sessions on Friday ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix.
