Lewis Hamilton: 'Losing world title is heartbreaking'

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton says that he is "not happy" to be out of contention for the world title following his fourth-placed finish in the Indian Grand Prix on Sunday.

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has admitted that he is 'heartbroken' to be out of contention for the world title.

The 27-year-old, who will join Mercedes for the start of next season, had a slim chance of becoming champion ahead of Sunday's Indian Grand Prix but Sebastian Vettel's victory has ended the Brit's hopes.

"I'm not happy with the result because I've lost the world title, so it's heartbreaking, but that's the way it goes," the Daily Mail quotes Hamilton as saying.

The Stevenage-born driver missed out on a podium spot after finishing fourth in India and now sits 75 points below Championship leader Vettel.
