Ron Dennis confident of McLaren success in 2015

Ron Dennis claims that McLaren's partnership with Honda could return the team to winning ways.

Ron Dennis believes that McLaren could return to winning ways after linking up with Honda for 2015.

The Woking-based constructor has failed to register a Grand Prix victory since Lewis Hamilton's final win for the team in the 2012 United States Grand Prix.

However, Dennis has suggested that the rekindling of the relationship with Honda, which brought several titles in the 1980s and 1990s, could restore McLaren to the top step of the podium.

He is quoted by NBC Sports as saying: "Honda is a phenomenally committed company and the challenge we face together as we approach the 2015 season is just huge. Our competitors have had one year's head start, which again amplifies the challenge. The rules and regulations have never been so complex for the power units.

"As we approach this first grand prix, the expectation becomes more intensive. The pressure from our fans, our drivers, our sponsors, the media gets more and more intense, but we are ready for the challenge."

McLaren finished fifth in the 2014 constructors' championship.
