Jenson Button wants Lewis Hamilton to stay at McLaren

Jenson Button has revealed that he believes teammate Lewis Hamilton should remain at McLaren, despite speculation about his future.

Hamilton has been linked with a move away from McLaren after under-performing this season, but Button thinks that he should stay with the team.

"He has been here since the start of his career and it is a massive change to go somewhere else. I have done it a couple of times," he told Autosport.com.

"Sometimes, it is good for you to make that change, and it is up to Lewis, but from my point of view, it doesn't seem like it would be the right thing to do."

Both McLaren drivers have struggled this season, with Hamilton fifth in the championship standings on 92 points, with Button 24 points adrift on 68.
