Perez: 'I don't care about upsetting rivals'

McLaren driver Sergio Perez has insisted that he is solely focused on his performance for his team, rather than the opinions of his rivals.

Perez has already been involved in incidents with Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso and teammate Jenson Button this season, but ahead of the British Grand Prix, the Mexican driver has revealed that it does not worry him.

The 23-year-old told Autosport: "At the end of the day, I am here to fight for my team and to give my very best for my team.

"People are working day and night for you to make this team go a bit quicker, so I maximise everything I have got.

"And if that means I upset other drivers or other people, I really don't care. I just want to do the best for my team and I will keep doing it until I retire."

The former Sauber driver has scored just 12 points for McLaren this season.
