Jenson Button has played down claims that he can still win the drivers' championship following his victory in Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.
Button led from the front to claim only his second victory of the season.
The McLaren driver is optimistic for the rest of the season, but has said that a championship challenge may be beyond him.
"It's a long shot," said Button. "But I think today proves anything is possible.
"If we can continue like this then there's still a chance, obviously a slim chance, but still a chance we can fight for the championship.
"We won't think about that though. We need to concentrate on the next race and getting the car to my liking, because when we do, we win."
Button went on to say that his pole position was key factor in his race.
He continued: "Saturdays, especially this year, have been tricky so it's nice to find a balance I like."
The next round of Formula 1 is the Italian Grand Prix next weekend.
