Ferrari's 'announcement regarding Kimi Raikkonen's return imminent'

Ferrari will reportedly announce the return of driver Kimi Raikkonen this afternoon.

Ferrari are reportedly expected to announce the return of Kimi Raikkonen this afternoon following Felipe Massa's decision to leave the Formula 1 team.

The 33-year-old, who is currently a driver for Lotus, has been tipped to rejoin the Italian setup, where he won the drivers' championship in 2007.

It is understood that Ferrari will announce today that Raikkonen will line up alongside Fernando Alonso for the 2014 season, according to Sky Sports News.

Massa confirmed his departure yesterday following eight years with the Italian team.
