UEFA charges Zorya Luhansk after Manchester United clash

Zorya Luhansk have been charged by UEFA over crowd incidents during their Europa League clash with Manchester United on Thursday night.

Disciplinary proceedings have been opened against the Ukrainian outfit over the setting off of fireworks, throwing of objects, pitch invasion and the blocking of stairways during the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Jose Mourinho's side in Odessa.

The most serious incident saw a firecracker thrown onto the pitch and land close to United goalkeeper Sergio Romero during the first half.

Zorya are now likely to face a fine from European football's governing body, while forcing the club to play a match behind closed doors is also an option if the offences are deemed serious enough.

Goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic steered United to victory in Ukraine, sealing their place in the last 32 in the process.
