Mick McCarthy denies Ross McCormack interest

McCarthy denies McCormack interest

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy has denied speculation that he is keen on signing Leeds United striker Ross McCormack.

Recent reports had suggested that McCarthy was preparing to submit a January bid for the Scot, who has scored ten goals in the Championship this season.

McCarthy has refused to rule out purchasing McCormack in the future, but has insisted that he will not be bringing the 25-year-old to Molineux any time soon.

"I haven't had any interest in McCormack, so you can say 'Mick McCarthy revealed he's not interested in Ross McCormack'," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"That doesn't mean to say I won't go back and sign him but there's been none at all."

McCormack joined Leeds from Cardiff in 2010.
