Head coach Bruno Lage says that he is expecting Wolverhampton Wanderers to be busy in the transfer market this summer.

Head coach Bruno Lage has acknowledged that some players will be leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers during the summer transfer window.

At one stage, Wolves were in contention for the Champions League places, but a run of eight defeats in 12 top-flight matches will almost certainly lead to the club missing out on European football.

Numerous players have also been linked with an exit, with the likes of Ruben Neves and Adama Traore potentially being sold and Romain Saiss departing on a free transfer.

While the more sustained effort will be made to retain the services of Neves, Lage has claimed that Wolves face a busy summer when it comes to incomings and outgoings.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, as quoted by Tim Spiers of The Athletic, the Portuguese said: "Some players will go this summer, for sure. We can feel it. We don't have news about talks between the club and players. We need to replace players.

"We have gaps we need to fill. If someone special goes, we need to replace them too. It's going to be a busy period."

Wolves end the season with games against Norwich City and Liverpool, currently requiring at least four points to guarantee eighth position in the Premier League standings.
