Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako has insisted that he loves the club, despite being strongly linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.
Forest were keen to sign Sako on loan ahead of securing a permanent deal in January, but while the Frenchman admits that he would like to play at a higher level, he insists that he is committed to the League One outfit.
The 25-year-old told the Express & Star: "I spoke to the gaffer in pre-season and he said that if a Premier League or a top Championship club came in for me and a deal was agreed, I would be able to speak with them. I have never been on strike or anything like that.
"I heard a lot of things like 'Sako doesn't want to play for Wolves' but that is rubbish. I have always done my best for this club. I love this club and the fans and everyone who works here.
"I didn't play the last league game because I was ill and then the gaffer said I needed to rest and could come back again last Monday."
Sako has scored five goals in nine appearances for Wolves this season.
