Kenny Jackett says that his new team will be able to "hit the ground running" in League One for the upcoming season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett believes that he has the right team to "hit the ground running" in League One.

The West Midlands outfit have had to make 'quick' changes to the squad following back-to-back relegations from the top flight to the third division of English football.

"Things needed changing after a few disappointing seasons so it'll be a new team," Jackett told Sky Sports News.

"A lot of the players that perhaps have that baggage of recent disappointment won't be around.

"Those changes have been made, they've been made quickly and they had to be made in that fashion to make sure that we can do our best to hit the ground running."

Wolves will begin their campaign with an away game against Preston North End this Saturday.
