Jackett impressed with Sako form

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett believes that a number of factors have helped winger Bakary Sako return to form since the start of 2014.

Sako had endured an indifferent spell with the League One outfit after being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, but after Wolves regained a place in the top two, Jackett has insisted that he can't rely on just one player to help the club to promotion.

The 52-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "Maybe the competition has helped him and also maybe his own professionalism because he's a good pro and a good character.

"Maybe his form has just swung back this way through his own determination. I'd like to think that it is a combination of both, but if that is the case, we need every single player in every department firing on all cylinders if we can.

"As for Sako, we shouldn't ever need to rely on just one player because that player can get injured or suspended."

The French winger has scored eight times in 27 appearances for Wolves during this campaign.
