Stephen Hunt encourages his Wolverhampton Wanderers teammates to prove that they are too good to be relegated.

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Stephen Hunt has insisted that the club are not too good to down this season.

Dean Saunders's team are currently 18th in the Championship table, just seven points clear of the relegation zone.

However, despite recent claims from pundits that the squad at Molineux is too strong to be relegated down League One, Republic of Ireland international Hunt has called upon his teammates to prove those opinions to be correct.

"I've said to the boys we need to get going quickly so we're not involved in the scramble to stay up," Hunt told the Express & Star.

"No team in this division can say they're too good to avoid the drop because it can happen if they're not at it. I'm not saying we're in trouble but we need to pick up points quickly and try to get rid of the doom and gloom."

Hunt joined Wolves from Hull City in 2010.
