Daniel Caligiuri and Maximilian Arnold have both been named on the Wolfsburg bench for the meeting with Hannover in the Bundesliga.
Arnold started the win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday, but he drops out of the side, while Caligiuri continues his stint as a substitute.
However, there is a boost for the visitors as Luiz Gustavo returns to start alongside Josuha Guilavogui in the centre of midfield.
Hannover are looking to recover from the 4-3 defeat to Hoffenheim, and Tayfun Korkut has decided against making any changes as Joselu continues to lead the attack for the hosts.
