Wigan Athletic consider bid for Tottenham’s Giovani dos Santos

Wigan Athletic are interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos.

The Mexico international, who has become out of favour at White Hart Lane, is a target for Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, according to Sky Sports News.

The Latics have been hoping to lure a midfielder to the DW Stadium all summer, with Manchester City’s Shaun Wright-Phillips being an initial potential capture.

Spurs are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for the 22-year-old, who moved to the London club from Barcelona in 2008.
