Wigan Athletic have been drawn to face Barnsley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy area semi-final draw.
The Latics, who have defeated both Crewe Alexandra and Blackpool to reach the last eight, are the highest-ranked team left in the competition and will be favourites to prevail against Barnsley, who are struggling at the bottom of the League One table.
Fleetwood Town will host Morecambe in the other tie in the Northern section of the draw.
The Southern section sees Millwall travel to Southend United, while Oxford United face Yeovil Town, with all ties scheduled to be played on the week commencing December 7.
Northern section: Fleetwood Town vs. Morecambe, Wigan Athletic vs. Barnsley
