West Ham to flog £16m striker Hernandez?

West Ham United are reportedly ready to cut their losses and offload striker Javier Hernandez before the January transfer window closes.

The 29-year-old arrived from Bayer Leverkusen in a £16m deal during the summer amid much fanfare, having reportedly seen off competition from a number of clubs.

Hernandez has netted just four Premier League goals all term, though, with two of those coming against Southampton in August, and his first-team place is no longer guaranteed under David Moyes.

According to the London Evening Standard, the Hammers will listen to any forthcoming offers, with new Major League Soccer side Los Angeles FC said to be weighing up a move.

West Ham want to recoup as much as possible for Hernandez, who has one eye on this summer's World Cup finals and is in need of regular playing time.
