Gold hints at permanent Song deal?

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has hinted that the club are considering offering Alex Song a permanent deal at the club.

The 27-year-old has impressed since joining the Hammers from Barcelona on a season-long loan in the summer.

While responding to West Ham fans on Twitter, Gold agreed with a user who said that Song deserves to be given a permanent contract with the Premier League club.

Song recently revealed that he turned down the chance to sign for a club competing in the Champions League in order to join West Ham.
