West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic says that his side's draw at Crystal Palace "feels like a defeat" after they squandered a two-goal lead.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has said that his side's 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace this afternoon "feels like a defeat".

The Hammers were two goals up by the break thanks to Javier Hernandez and Andre Ayew, but the Eagles managed to halve the deficit early in the second half when Luka Milivojevic scored from the spot.

The London side nevertheless looked to have secured all three points, only for Wilfried Zaha to salvage a draw for the hosts in the sixth minute of time added on.

The result means that West Ham have now won just once in their last six league games, further piling the pressure on Bilic.

"It feels like a defeat. We knew that the game was not over at 2-0 up at half time," Bilic told reporters afterwards. "I am very disappointed with the penalty, but the way we conceded the leveller was very disappointing.

"We needed to keep the ball and we made the wrong decision with Michail Antonio choosing to cross the ball rather than keep it.

"We have to manage the game on the pitch. The game was finished. We didn't want to be passive, but instead exploit the space that they were leaving behind."

Next up for Bilic's side is a tough encounter with Liverpool at the London Stadium next Saturday.
