Player Ratings: West Ham United 3-0 Hull City

West Ham United ended their four-game winless run in the Premier League on Sunday with a 3-0 victory at home to Hull City.

The Hammers made amends for a disappointing first-half display on 49 minutes when Andy Carroll found the net to put them 1-0 up.

Morgan Amalfitano then doubled their advantage on 69 minutes before Stewart Downing sealed the points just four minutes later.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at the individual performances of those involved at Upton Park.

WEST HAM

Goal

Adrian: The Spaniard did not have too many shots to face as Hull mainly fired off target, but he was solid when called into action. (6/10)

Defence

Carl Jenkinson: Offered his side plenty of width and also looked competent when forced to defend during the first half. (6/10)

James Collins: Helped his team soak up a lot of pressure in the opening 45 minutes before a leg injury cut short his afternoon soon after the restart. (7/10)

James Tomkins: Was given a torrid time by Aluko, who continued to breeze past him as if he was not there, but the centre-back's performance improved as the game wore on. (6/10)

Aaron Cresswell: Despite finding life difficult early on, the youngster grew in confidence and ended up making some good runs out wide. (6/10)

Midfield

Mark Noble: A bit of a low-key afternoon for Noble, who nevertheless worked doggedly in midfield before coming off with 25 minutes left. (6/10)

Alex Song: Struggled to make an impact in the first half, but the former Cameroon international provided the Hammers with a foundation in midfield for much of the second period. (7/10)

Kevin Nolan: Led from the front, despite a meandering display early on from the experienced midfielder. (7/10)

Stewart Downing: Came alive after the break, pulling the West Ham strings from central areas. Took his goal well to seal the points for the Hammers. (8/10)

Attack

Enner Valencia: Worked hard for his side and would have had a goal were it not for some wayward finishing. (7/10)

Andy Carroll: Made himself a nuisance for the Hull defence, using all of his physicality to give the opposition not a moment's rest. Showed good instincts in the box for his goal. (7/10)

Substitutes

Winston Reid: Was brought off the bench early in the second half and slid seamlessly into the Hammers' defence. (7/10)

Morgan Amalfitano: The Frenchman took no time in making his mark on the game, scoring West Ham's vital second goal just minutes after coming on. (6/10)

Joey O'Brien: Gave his team some solidity at the back in the final stages as Hull tried to get themselves back in the game. (6/10)

HULL

Goal

Allan McGregor: Was at fault for West Ham's first goal when he failed to hold Valencia's shot. That moment aside, the Scot had an underwhelming 90 minutes. (5/10)

Defence

Michael Dawson: Offered Hull a commanding presence at the back on his return, but could not cope with the hosts come the end of the game. (6/10)

Alex Bruce: Showed plenty of courage during the first half before injury forced him off at the break. (6/10)

Curtis Davies: Did not provide the leadership that Hull required as it became more apparent that they would need to focus on keeping the hosts out. (5/10)

James Chester: Had little to do before he was replaced during first-half stoppage time after picking up an injury. (5/10)

Midfield

Jake Livermore: Looked lively throughout, but some poor decision-making hindered his side going forward. (6/10)

Tom Huddlestone: An inconsistent afternoon for Huddlestone, who drifted in and out of the game all too often. (5/10)

David Meyler: Made some good runs down the left when Hull were on top. Lost his discipline later on as the visitors became more ragged. (6/10)

Ahmed Elmohamady: A peripheral figure, the Egyptian rarely showed what he is capable of in wide positions. (5/10)

Attack

Sone Aluko: Hull's best player on the day. Aluko was in superb form in the first half as Hull took the game to West Ham, but he faded as the clock ticked on. (7/10)

Stephen Quinn: Could not link up with his teammates as he usually does, though he continued to toil until the final whistle. (6/10)

Substitutes

Maynor Figueroa: Did not provide the Tigers with much at the back or going forward for the 45 minutes that he was on the pitch. (5/10)

Harry Maguire: Struggled to adapt to the pace of the match after replacing Bruce. (5/10)

Yannick Sagbo: The striker's stock will continue to fall following this tepid cameo appearance. (5/10)
