West Ham United fine Andy Carroll for red card?

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll will reportedly be fined two weeks' wages for his sending-off against Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has decided to fine Andy Carroll for his dismissal against Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

Shortly after the Hammers had taken the lead through Michail Antonio, Carroll was given yellow cards for separate challenges when competing for a high ball.

In the space of two minutes, the forward was adjudged to have led with his arm when jumping with James Tarkowski and Ben Mee respectively, leaving Bilic furious with the 28-year-old.

According to The Mirror, that has led to the Croatian boss fining Carroll two weeks' wages, allegedly totalling £180,000.

West Ham would eventually draw the game at Turf Moor, with Chris Wood netting a late equaliser to leave the East London outfit still searching for their first away win in the top flight this season.

Carroll will now be absent when West Ham host Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday night.
