Carl Jenkinson happy with West Ham United summer recruitment

West Ham new boy Carl Jenkinson should be fit for the Hammers' clash with Hull City.

England Under-21 right-back Carl Jenkinson has revealed that he should be fit enough to make his competitive bow for new club West Ham United by the time the Premier League resumes.

Jenkinson suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of his first game for the Hammers in pre-season, but the 22-year-old is delighted to be back and is excited about the club's summer recruitment.

"Fingers crossed, I should be back for the next game," Jenkinson told the club's official site. "We've made some great signings and that was half the reason I joined.

"It seems like a long time out, but I have only missed three league games, so it's not been the end of the world. I'll be back soon and hopefully I can do the business on the pitch.

"The club is clearly making a big push this season and we've signed some more players since I signed. I think that's a real sign of intent."

Sam Allardyce's side face Hull City after the international break.
