West Bromwich Albion want to sign Napoli defender Federico Fernandez on a season-long loan deal, according to a report.

West Bromwich Albion are targeting a move for Napoli defender Federico Fernandez, according to a report.

The 24-year-old has struggled to get regular first-team action for the Serie A side and spent part of last season on loan at Getafe.

Baggies boss Steve Clarke is wants to bring the defender on a season-long loan deal to The Hawthorns with a view to a permanent move, reports The Mirror.

Fernandez has played 18 times for Argentina since making his debut in 2011.
