West Bromwich Albion closing in on Hull City defender James Chester?

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly closing in on a move for Hull City defender James Chester.

The 26-year-old is understood to have left Hull's pre-season tour of Austria to open talks with the Baggies.

Wales international Chester is now expected to join West Brom for around £8m, according to BBC Sport.

The centre-back has made over 150 league appearances for Hull since arriving at the KC Stadium from Manchester United in 2011.

Chester has one year remaining on his current deal with the Championship club.
