Tony Pulis suggests Saido Berahino 'has a price', but wants to keep him

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis insists that he does not want Saido Berahino to leave the club this month, but understands that 'everyone has a price'.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has suggested that the club will sell Saido Berahino for the right price, but has insisted that he does not want the youngster to leave.

The England Under-21 international has been linked to a number of top-flight clubs, including Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Today, Pulis used Liverpool's £75m sale of their prized asset Luis Suarez to Barcelona in the summer as an example to show that clubs sometimes need to relinquish their stars for the good of the club.

"We've had no offers for Saido, he is scoring goals and is a pleasure to work with," Pulis told reporters.

"For everybody, we'd like to keep him. You get a situation where Suarez goes from Liverpool, when they finish second in the league last year, and they sell him because they thought it was the right deal for the football club.

"Everybody is available in some shape or form. With Saido there is no difference about that. If you're asking me, 'would I want to sell him now?' Not at all, because he's been absolutely first class."

The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks at The Hawthorns.
