Jefferson Montero close to Premier League move?

Morelia winger Jefferson Montero is reportedly close to agreeing terms with an unnamed Premier League club.

The 23-year-old, who came close to joining Wigan Athletic in January, has been linked with the likes of Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion in recent weeks.

"Jefferson is ready to move to England," Dan Chapman of Full Contact told Sky Sports News.

"We can confirm a number of clubs are showing an interest, which is not surprising after his performance against Argentina last week."

The Ecuadorian's buy-out clause is understood to stand at £3.5m.
