Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is reportedly keen to complete a deal to sign left-back Nicky Shorey on a free transfer.

Leicester City are said to be interested in signing left-back Nicky Shorey on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old was one of five West Bromwich Albion players to be released on Wednesday.

Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is keen to strengthen his squad in preparation for a promotion push next season and has already confirmed the signings of Jamie Vardy, Ritchie De Laet and Matty James.

Pearson is now hoping to bring Shorey to the King Power Stadium, according to the Daily Star.

Shorey, who has been capped twice by England, appeared 26 times for the Baggies this season.
