West Brom release five players

West Bromwich Albion have decided to release five of their squad players.

Goalkeeper Martin Fulop, who only made his debut on the final day of the season against Arsenal, is among those who have been told that they are free to find another club.

The Baggies have also parted company with Nicky Shorey, Joe Mattock, Somen Tchoyi and Lateef Elford-Alliyu.

Keith Andrews and Paul Scharner are also expected to leave the club on free transfers.

Meanwhile, Marc-Antoine Fortune, Romaine Sawyers, Simon Cox, Jerome Thomas and Luke Daniels have all had their contracts extended at the Hawthorns by 12 months.
