Ethan Ingram joins Salford City on loan from West Bromwich Albion

"I'm excited, this is my first experience of men's football so I think there's a lot to learn, but this is my chance to learn and develop, become the player I can, and I think Salford's the right club for me to do that," he told the club website.

"When I was playing in pre-season I was surprised with how they were playing. They were playing out, being brave, trying to progress up the field with the ball on the floor which was good.

"And the stadium, it's tight-knit and I think that will help fans to have that connection with the players on the pitch, so it's good. I felt the togetherness, the pressure and I wondered what it's like to be on that side.

"I like to get the ball down and play, but when we want to get it out wide I can win an aerial ball, I'm a physical player, got a leap on me. But I like to play when I can through the thirds and attack when I can."
