Tony Pulis: 'West Bromwich Albion players showed great character'

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis praises the character of his players as they secure a 2-2 draw away at relegation rivals Burnley in the Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has praised the character of his players after they fought back from a 'Sunday league' start to secure a 2-2 draw away at Burnley in the Premier League.

The Clarets took a two-goal lead for the second straight home game, but again failed to convert their advantage as the Baggies fought back for a point.

Pulis told BBC Sport after the game: "We started the game as if it was a Sunday morning game but the goal before half-time gave us the lift we needed.

"They took the ball off us on numerous occasions and in dangerous areas, but the character of the players in the second half [brought it back level].

"Without a question of doubt we need to get results, and you need to have the players together and playing as hard as we did in the second half and full credit to them."

West Brom currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, just three points above the drop zone.
