Preview: West Bromwich Albion vs. Fulham

West Brom vs. Fulham

Felix Magath will take charge of Fulham for the first time this weekend when they visit fellow relegation candidates West Bromwich Albion.

The German took over following Rene Meulensteen's dismissal last weekend, and is managing in the Premier League for the first time.

Victory would not be enough to move the Cottagers out of the bottom three this weekend, while defeat for the home side could see them drop into the relegation zone.

Magath may be without goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, who suffered an eye injury during last week's defeat to Liverpool, but January signing Kostas Mitroglou is expected to be named in the squad after overcoming a knee injury.

Fulham have not won in the top flight since beating West Ham United on New Year's Day.

Meanwhile, Stephane Sessegnon and Nicolas Anelka are among a host of injured players in line for a return to Pepe Mel's side, although the Frenchman's availability may be short-lived, with the disciplinary hearing into his alleged racist gesture due to begin next week.

Like their opponents, their last Premier League win came at the start of January, with a narrow win over Newcastle United.

When the two team met at Craven Cottage earlier in the season, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
