Paul Scharner to undergo scan

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Paul Scharner will have a scan on his injured wrist before Saturday's match against Aston Villa.

The Austrian picked up the problem during last weekend's 1-0 victory at Liverpool.

Scharner will now have a further test on his wrist to determine whether he will be available for the local derby at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies are expected to have Marc-Antonie Fortune back for the clash against Villa after the midfielder missed the trip to Anfield with a hamstring injury.
