James Morrison has praised Darren Fletcher for the leadership skills he has displayed since arriving at West Bromwich Albion.
Fletcher took over the captaincy from Chris Brunt when he completed a move to the Baggies on the final day of the transfer window, and Morrison believes that his fellow Scot's influence will only continue to grow.
"Some people are born captains, really," Morrison is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "We have a good bunch of lads at West Brom, so that respect was there.
"It was up to the manager to change the captaincy and Darren has been great since he arrived. He has settled in fantastically well. He has already been getting the lads together so he has done a good job so far.
'When he has settled a bit more, then I'm sure he will further stamp his authority in terms of what he wants at the club. He leads by example and does everything right."
West Brom return to action against Southampton on Saturday.
