McClean uncertain over West Brom future

West Bromwich Albion midfielder James McClean has revealed uncertainty about his future at The Hawthorns.

The 28-year-old, who has only made two league starts since Boxing Day, was the subject of an undisclosed bid by Derby County during the January transfer window.

McClean, a Republic of Ireland international, has admitted that he is considering a move away should his playing time under Baggies boss Alan Pardew not increase.

"I want regular football, wherever that may be," the midfielder told the Derry Journal. "If it's the right fit for me and it provides me with regular football then I'm open to anything. "I just want to play football. I'm 28 now and the last 18 months have been really frustrating. I feel that I'm at my best when I get a run of games. Ideally I'd rather play week-in, week-out at West Brom, but that hasn't been the case.

"I'll work hard like I always do, but for me, regular football is the be all and end all."

McClean played for Sunderland and Wigan Athletic before moving to the West Midlands in 2015.
