West Bromwich Albion defender Billy Jones has insisted that he is fully focused on performing well in the Premier League.
Jones's displays for the Baggies have resulted in talk of a potential England call-up, and the former Crewe Alexandra man has admitted that the speculation has given him the confidence to become more consistent at club level.
The 26-year-old told the Express & Star: "I've always said that playing in the Premier League and playing well in the Premier League as an Englishman, people are going to talk about playing for England.
"All I'm concentrating on is playing well in the Premier League for Albion and hopefully that will bring us wins, more points. As for England – the right-backs at the moment are top class. They prove that week in, week out.
"It's nice to hear. It gives you confidence. I feel more like a Premier League player now more than I ever have done."
England manager Roy Hodgson signed Jones for West Brom during his time at The Hawthorns.
