Andrews: Blackburn heading down

Keith Andrews takes a parting shot at former club Blackburn Rovers following his switch to West Brom.

Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Keith Andrews has slammed the club after leaving for West Bromwich Albion on transfer deadline day.

Andrews signed for West Brom on Monday after falling out of favour under manager Steve Kean.

Rovers have struggled in the Premier League since last year's takeover by Indian company Venky's.

"The fans aren't happy with the takeover and I can see why," Andrews said.

"With the players who have left and the players who have come in, the club is going in one direction and that's down."

Blackburn are currently 18th in the Premier league.
