The score remains goalless at half time between West Bromwich Albion and Everton at The Hawthorns.

Everton started well and nearly went ahead through Steven Pienaar, whose shot from distance just missed the target.

The Baggies grew in stature as the half wore on and nearly broke the deadlock through Shane Long, who crashed a header against Tim Howard's crossbar.

Everton were also denied a penalty claim but it remains all square at the break.
