The 25-year-old has started just three Championship games for the Hornets since signing from Girona in July.
He has made 12 appearances for Watford in all competitions, scoring one goal - the opener in a 3-2 defeat to Norwich City in September.
Acuna found the net 17 times for Girona in the Spanish Second Division last season.
