Ighalo, Ince, Lansbury, Silvestri up for award

The four nominees for February's Championship Player of the Month award have been revealed as Odion Ighalo, Tom Ince, Henri Lansbury and Marco Silvestri.

Ighalo is nominated for the second month running after continuing his explosive start to 2015 last month. The Nigerian frontman netted six goals in five games for the Hornets.

Hull City loanee Ince has scored five goals in six games for Derby County, including braces in the games against Bolton Wanderers and Rotherham United.

Like Ince, Nottingham Forest's Lansbury bagged five goals in six games last month for Dougie Freedman's rapidly improving outfit, including five in five games.

Leeds United goalkeeper Silvestri stood out for Leeds with a series of fine games, keeping Middlesbrough out on multiple occasions during the Whites' unlikely 1-0 win at the Riverside.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
