Quique Flores: 'We didn't deserve to lose to Swansea City'

Watford manager Quique Flores insists that his side did not deserve to be beaten by Swansea City in their Premier League clash at the Liberty Stadium.

Watford manager Quique Flores has claimed that his side did not deserve to be beaten by struggling Swansea City this evening.

Ashley Williams scored the only goal of the game at the Liberty Stadium to condemn Watford to a fourth consecutive Premier League defeat - the first time that has happened since May 2000.

However, Flores insists that he was pleased with what he saw from his side in the second half despite not being able to seriously trouble Lukasz Fabianski in the Swansea goal.

"Disappointed with the result. I am really happy with the performance in the second half. The team came back to put in a good performance," Flores told Sky Sports News.

"I don't think we deserved to lose, but this is football. We are working in the same way, we are playing against amazing teams with amazing players.

"It is not easy to win but we don't like to lose four matches in a row. We know the target (40 points) is not far. I think we are close to winning."

The defeat leaves Watford 12th in the Premier League table, now closer to the relegation zone than they are to the top four.
